Ingredients

1 cup of milk
2 cups of water
1 tablespoon black tea leaves
1 tablespoon of raw cane sugar or another sugar
optional spices : seeds of green cardemom, freshly grounded
optional ginger
black pepper
cinnamon

Ginger Tea is a simple indian cuisine dish. Ginger Tea can be served with vegetable and non-vegetable gravy based curry or served as by itself.


METHOD


In a saucepan, bring the water & the spices to a boil.
When boiling add the milk.
Remove mixture from the heat as soon as bubbles start to rise.
Stir in the tea leaves & the sugar.
Cover and allow to steep for a few minutes.
Strain and serve.
